I've found there are negative aspects of every country I've visited in the world. I try to look past that to find the unique beauty in each place. And it's there.

Yes, there are a lot of expats in San Miguel and they have pushed prices for things like housing out of reach of most locals. But the Mexicans are always welcoming and friendly - even though as Canadians we are also part of the expat problem.

I hope to explore more of the country, the smaller towns and cities - always searching for that authentic experience.
