The closest call… other than outside the door. Keep in mind this is while camping in the mountains of north-central Alberta. Not the city It was pouring rain so we made the big mistake of eating in our tent -and then stashing the food in my brother in laws car. A T-bird convertible. When we came back from a day of fishing on the lake our tent was shredded and the bear had walked across the soft top so there were muddy punctures all over the roof. We packed up what was left and headed home. Gee I should write that up.
